Coming together from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences, our skilled Board team is the backbone of NC Partnership for Child Nutrition. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our organization as it continues to develop. They also provide financial oversight and governance. Read on to learn more about some of our incredible team members.

JENIFER SIMONE has lived in Raleigh for over 16 years and has two children who graduated from WCPSS and a current middle school student.  Over the course of her career, Jenifer has focused much of her energy on the health and wellness of school aged children working as a pediatric nurse for over 25 years. She previously served on a WCPSS District Board Advisory Council, school PTA executive boards and as a member of an elementary school Wellness Team,  fostering healthy attitudes in the school community.

MATT CUNNINGHAM is a North Carolina native and a Wake County resident since 1987. He is a former WCPSS student, and the parent of two current WCPSS students. Matt attended Wake Forest School of Law after graduating from N.C. State, and has practiced corporate and commercial real estate law over his 19-year career.  His nonprofit experience ranges from a serving term as President of the Board of the SPCA of Wake County, to helping found the Brooks Elementary School Foundation, and serving on his children’s School Improvement Team.

JONATHAN PERRY is a lifelong resident of North Carolina and has lived in Wendell in Wake County for the past 17 years.  He has two children currently in the WCPSS.  He is the owner of Perry Planning Group which is a Wealth Management firm focused on financial planning, investment management and insurance services.  He serves on the Boy Scouts of America Occoneechee Council Board of Directors and is currently a Den Leader for his son’s Cub Scout Pack 515.  He is passionate personally about physical fitness and balanced nutrition.

JESSICA CRAWFORD has lived in Raleigh for over 10  years with her husband and their two children who are currently WCPSS students. She started studying Health and Wellness after becoming pregnant with her first child over twelve years ago.  Inspired by what she had learned, Jessica went on to become a Holistic Health Practitioner. There she learned more about the relationship between nutrition and body chemistry. 
A photographer by trade, she currently works along side her husband at their restaurant, Crawford and Son, managing social media and marketing.

STEPHEN MANGANO,  is a 16+ year resident of Raleigh with two children currently in WCPSS. Mr. Mangano was co-founder of Pullen Place, a fresh focused cafe at Raleigh’s Historic Pullen Park. Mr. Mangano has track record of launching successful entities and has long ties to the Triangle food systems.  He currently is the founder and CEO of CurEat, a company focused on supporting independent restaurants and brands and enabling consumers to easily learn about them.
