Come and enjoy a four course lunch from some of the area's most dynamic chefs while learning about and supporting the kick-off of the NC Partnership for Child Nutrition (NCPCN).
Having originally begun his career with a savory focus, Pastry Chef Jonathan Fisher quickly discovered the tantalizing nature of pastry creations. A Philadelphia native, Chef Fisher brings great artistic expression to his creations, with a philosophy focused on highlighting the juxtaposition between art and food to create thought provoking and artistic dishes with a perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors. Prior to his position at Herons, he spent over two years as chef de partie at The French Laundry before serving as pastry chef and sous chef at [ONE] Restaurant in Chapel Hill. Fisher’s creations are whimsical, yet refined and highlights the natural beauty and essence of each ingredient to create an emotional connection between nature and the diner, a natural complement to The Umstead’s sensibilities.
