ARE YOU A WAKE COUNTY RESTAURANT
INTERESTED IN JOINING OUR SUPPORT SCHOOL MEALS CAMPAIGN?
Support School Meals is a capacity-building fundraiser for NC Partnership for Child Nutrition, Inc., a locally formed, parent-led community nonprofit, with a mission to enable healthy outcomes by ensuring every child chooses to have a nutritious meal at school. Our goal is to work with Wake County Child Nutrition Services to enhance the school nutrition program and increase participation rates across the school age population.

The Support School Meals campaign will help us enable every child and teacher to choose to eat lunch and breakfast at school. 100% of funds raised will go toward this goal, which will include capacity-building, direct meal purchases, and overall support of the public school system's child-feeding goals.
The "Support School Meals" campaign will take place this September at participating restaurants. If you are a restaurant interested in learning more about the campaign, read the following information, and then sign up, or contact us with any questions!

BENEFITS TO PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS
NCPCN will provide focused marketing and media coverage for the campaign and participating restaurants leading to and through September.
Participating restaurants' names & logos will be displayed on our website and campaign materials.
No-cost to you way to support improving childhood nutrition & ending childhood hunger in our community!
Why?
Increased participation leads to increased resources, allowing school nutrition services to have a broader impact on the health of our children. Potential outcomes may include universal free breakfast, more innovative meal programs, and engagement opportunities for kids through food.
How?
Current school lunch participation rates are low. Simply raising lunch participation rates will enable child nutrition services to have additional resources to implement innovative and impactful programs with the potential to reduce childhood hunger in our community. Our work plans to research and support the implementation of efforts to make it a reality.
More?
NCPCN will run & promote the “Support School Meals” campaign leading up to, and throughout, the month of September. Participating restaurants will display campaign signs & information provided by NCPCN, offer a $5 “Support School Meals” donation in their POS system for customers to add-on to their bill, track funds through their POS, and issue a check/ACH deposit to NCPCN at the end of the campaign.
